I stopped by Rite Aid this morning and picked up a few things. My store was out of the simply saline neti pot, but I was able to get everything else. I've been going through a lot of cereal at my house lately! I get hungry every night around 8:00 pm (or maybe it's the baby getting hungry?), and cereal is my go-to snack. So even though these Fiber Plus cereals were above my stock up price, they sounded really good so I thought I'd give them a try.

I hit Rite Aid bright and early this morning to pick up some cheap diapers. I had planned on buying 4 Little Snugglers and 4 Slip-Ons, but unfortunately my Rite Aid didn't have the Slip-Ons, so I had to modify my plans a bit. Here's what I did:

Side note:
I ran to another Rite Aid nearby to see if they might have the Slip-Ons, but they didn't either. I came in the door to find a mother-daughter coupon pair at the checkout who had cleaned every last Huggies pack from the shelves. They had at least 3 carts full! It's so sad when a few people abuse the system and it prevents others from snagging good deals. :(

My Walmart Shopping Trip -- 41% Savings

I went to Walmart this morning and did some pricematching for the week. My store didn't have the Planters Peanut Butter, so I'll have to go to Smith's for that -- but everything else was fairly well stocked. I also found some beer rebates while I was there, so it was a good trip!

Not quite a stretchy as Pampers wipes, but they're plenty thick and seem to do the job well. So if you're in need of wipes, this is a great deal this week!

I had saved the Shortcuts $5/5 MFQ onto my store card but it never came off at checkout! Very frustrating. So I ended up having to use two paper coupons to cover my 10 boxes. I'm going to contact Shortcuts today and let them know.

I couldn't find any Coppertone (BOGO50%) for less than $10.50 a bottle (yikes) and I couldn't find any Banana Boat lip balm to hit the $25 mark.

Sigh.

Rite Aid Shopping Trip

So even after all these years of couponing, my hubby just doesn't "get it" sometimes. This morning as he's getting ready for work, he informs me that he's completely out of his hair goop. As in, he used the last drop today. Whaaa? Doesn't he know he needs to give me at least three weeks notice so I can watch for a sale or coupon? He's picky about his brands, mind you.

Then in the next breath, he mentions that he's on his last stick of deodorant as well.

I suppose I should blame myself for not being on top of things -- but in my defense, we have different drawers in the bathroom so I don't see his product levels very often.

The card is for a friend in the neighborhood who's little 6 year old daughter has cancer, and they're up at Primary's this week for another round of chemo. Our ward & neighborhood is getting hit pretty hard with crises lately. If you have extra room in your prayers, send them this way.
