New Site For Trading Household Items - Votrust.com
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of votrust. All opinions are 100% mine.
So we've seen a lot of press lately about children's clothing swap companies --- but how about swapping other items? Seems intriguing, right? No more ebay selling fuss -- just swap your items on votrust.com instead.
How to use Votrust:
- Make your free account and list something you don't want or you're not using. Their site will help you upload pictures and fill in specifics
- Assign your item a value.
- Search for something you want in exchange for your item.
- Wait for offers for your item. The trick is -- the lower value you give it, the more offers you will receive and the more options you'll have to choose from for your trade. (You can only offer to swap with someone who's item is lower value than yours. Sort of smart!)
- Accept a swap proposal, make the exchange and everyone's happy!
Check out Votrust's About us page for more info. Happy swapping!

How To: Child & Maternity Clothing Swaps
OutGrowingIn is a site that helps you swap kids & maternity clothes that have been outgrown or not being used. It's free to join, and might be a good way to do some spring cleaning in your childrens' closets! Here's how it works:
- Go HERE to register.
- The site is free, but if you enter code FREEYEAR while you're signing up, you'll get a year's worth of premium services & perks for free.
- OutGrowingIn will send you some prepaid shipping boxes.
- List your box of clothing (they help you specify sizes, genders, etc), pack it in the box and wait for someone to purchase.
- When someone purchases your box, you are emailed a pre-paid shipping label. Stick it on the box and drop it at the post office.
- Once you've listed a box, you get to choose a box (see, it's a swap!) and just pay $3 + shipping, which comes out to $14.95 or $15.95 (depending on premium or regular membership).
You end up getting about 15-ish children's items per box, so it's less than $1 per item. Not bad!
ThredUp is another clothing swap site just for children's clothing, and they actually had a great deal through DealPulp a few weeks ago. Here's how this one works:
- Go HERE to register an account. (Your first box is free for a limited time!)
- You can pick a box and pay $5 + shipping = $15.95
- ThredUp will send you mailing boxes.
- List your box of clothes (they will help you specify sizes & gender). And don't forget to check out their FAQ if you have troubles - they even have some helpful videos that show you how to pack a box.
Here again, you'll end up getting between 12 and 15 items per box, depending on the season, which comes out to around $1 a piece!

New Gluten Free Bakery In Provo
This is going to be exciting news for some of you...
Did you know there is a new gluten free bakery in Provo called New Grains Gluten Free Bakery? I had the chance to go visit the bakery & try some products (more on that soon!) and meet the owner, Nicole.
If you have a family member or friend who suffers from gluten intolerance, or Celiac Disease, you know how difficult it can be to find healthy & delicious alternatives. That's where New Grains Gluten Free Bakery comes in.
Here's a list of just some of the gluten free items they make:
- sour dough & multi grain breads
- tortillas
- rolls & breadsticks
- cinnamon raisin & banana bread
- brownies, dessert bars & cookies
- tortillas
- pizza crust
They also sell many of their products as mixes that you can make at home. How great is that?
Right now New Grains Gluten Free Bakery is marketing to local supermarkets, so they can carry their products and be purchased in-store locally. If your local supermarket doesn't carry New Grains products and you think it should -- let them know!
If your local supermarket does carry New Grains products, you can print 3 great coupons right now at Valpak.com to use when you purchase them!
Stay tuned for my review of New Grains Gluten Free breads & desserts. Yum!
High Value P&G Coupons!
Head over to P&G right now and you can request some very high value coupons (& samples) of your favorite products. These would be great to save for a good drugstore or Smith's sale...or to use at Walmart whenver you're running low. :)

Mommy Must Haves: Itzbeen Baby Care Timer Giveaway! {closed}
Before The Bambina was born, I received an Itzbeen Baby Care Timer as a gift. It quickly became my most prized mommy-must-have, and I drove all the way back to the mall one day when I accidentally left it at the Nordstrom Cafe during lunch. Now that's love!
My favorite features of the Itzbeen:
- Small enough to fit in your pocket or purse
- Has buttons to time feedings, naps, diaper changes, and a bonus button (We use it to time doses of medicine.)
- Has a switch to keep track of which side you nursed on last. (Genius!)
- Cleverly designed light-up buttons, and a night light at the top
- An alarm feature (Useful if you're a lucky parent who has to wake their child up every few hours to eat like we were!)
For the first few weeks of your newborn's life, both mommy and daddy are sleep deprived. Keeping track of diapers & feeds can be hard in the dark of the night when all your body wants to do is sleep. The Itzbeen takes all the guesswork out of daytime and nighttime feedings & routines, so you can focus on what's really important.
This gadget is a lifesaver when caring for a newborn. I carried my Itzbeen Baby Care Timer with me at all times because it brought me peace of mind. And now it's my go-to baby gift that I buy for my friends who have babies!
Win it!
Itzbeen has offered one lucky winner an Itzbeen Baby Care Timer!

Mommy Must Haves: Bravado Nursing Bra Giveaway! {closed}
In my opinion, Bravado nursing bras are the most comfortable, functional nursing bras around -- and definitely a mommy-must-have. I tried on many different nursing bras, but always came back to Bravado's because they were just oh-so-comfortable.
My favorite of all Bravado's bras would have to be the Body Silk Seamless. It's perfect for right after you give birth when your milk is coming in and your supply hasn't regulated yet. I actually bought a second Body Silk during this time, so I could be wearing one and washing one at all times.
After a few months when my supply had settled, I wore the Allure or the Sublime, because I liked the support of an underwire. But I was never one of those ladies who could sleep braless at night while they were nursing, so I slept in my Body Silk Seamless for all 10 months that I nursed. (And yes, it is that comfortable!)
When I finally made the decision to stop nursing, I thought I would be excited to get back into my old bras, but when I finally tried them on, I wasn't! They just weren't as comfortable as I had remembered them being, once I compared them with my Bravado bras. I actually wore my nursing bras for about another month before my hubby finally called me on it and I relented!
My favorite features of Bravado's nursing bras are:
- One-handed latch/unlatch system (because you never have two hands free!)
- Their sizing (they carry all sizes!)
- Comfortable bands (3-prongs, so they're thick & sturdy)
- Lots of color and style options (there is something for everyone)
- They are designed by women (moms) who know what they're doing!
So if you haven't ever tried a Bravado nursing bra -- now is your chance! Don't wait another day. You'll be glad you didn't.
Win it!
Bravado has offered one lucky winner a Body Silk Seamless nursing bra in the new, limited edition color -- pink ice!

Mommy Must Haves: Halo Sleepsack Giveaway! {closed}
1. Sturdy Crib -- The CPSC recommends not using a crib more than 10 years old, one that has been broken or modified, or one with a drop side. If you choose to buy new, make sure you fill out your product registration card so the manufacturer can notify you if there is ever a recall on your crib.
2. Carseat & Stroller -- There is a huge range of features & prices, so find what features are important to you and go with it. I loved having a carseat that snapped into my stroller, so the little one could stay sleeping while I ran my errands.
3. Diapers -- Lots and lots and lots of diapers! Many people told me only to buy one pack of Newborn size before the baby was born, and then to wait and see as she grew. WRONG! Leaving the house was the last thing on my mind in the first week or two of The Bambina's life. I say buy plenty of little sizes, and exchange them for bigger sizes later as needed. (Even Rite Aid will exchange sizes without a receipt!)
4. Front Carrier -- I'm a huge fan of the Ergo & Belle, but try on a few front carriers & find one that works for you. Front carriers are a great way to have your hands free around the house, and I used mine a lot while traveling and going on walks.
5. Carseat Cover/Bundler -- If your baby will be little during the cold months, a carseat bundler or cover is definitely essential. They keep your babe warm, prevent others from touching (bonus!), and are much safer than simply using a blanket.
6. Nursing Cover -- If you plan to breastfeed, a nursing cover will allow you to be part of the action instead of having to leave the room when your baby needs to feed. And they're essential in public places where you don't have the option to leave the room! I kept one Hooter Hider in my pump bag at work, one in my diaper bag for on the go, and one hanging my coat rack at home for when guests came to visit.
7. Itzbeen Baby Care Timer -- This gadget is a lifesaver when caring for a newborn. No more looking at the clock in the middle of the night and trying to figure out how long it's been since the last feed or change. This keeps track for you! (And if you're breastfeeding, it even keeps track of which side you last fed on.)
8. Bravado Nursing Bras -- I've said it once and I'll say it again - these babies are worth every penny. I now own 4, and they're by far the most comfortable and functional nursing bra around. (I was actually sad to go back to my regular bra when I stopped nursing!)
9. Halo SleepSacks -- What do newborns, babies & young toddlers all have in common? They can all wiggle out of their blankets at night like it's nobody's business. Halo SleepSacks keep your babe warm at night without any risk of SIDS. And if you live in an old house like mine that's drafty, it's the best way to keep them warm at night!
If you're a new mom, check out more discussions here and here and here to see what products other Mommies have on their must-have lists!
Win it!
Halo has offered one lucky winner a SleepSack in their choice of color & size! These would make a great baby shower gift!
