Huggies Rewards and Coupon

Have you heard about the new Huggies rewards site?

You make an account, and then you can enter Huggies Rewards codes to earn points. Currently, rewards codes are not found inside Huggies diapers packages, but I know they're making a change to the packaging soon, so I think this feature is on its way.

The points can be redeemed for sweepstakes and prizes. The prizes are somewhat limited right now, but the site is in its infancy and I think it'll grow to be something as great as the Pampers gifts to grow system. When you enter your first code, you'll be able to download a $2 coupon and you'll get 10 bonus points. Here are a few codes to get you started!

2 Point Codes
TKHNF-RLPLS-TRPGB (exp.unknown)
WPBXZ - RDDNS - PPPGB (exp. 5/16)
RZMRR-QFZNP-WGPGB (exp 5/31/2009)

5 Point Codes
LNXBX-DXTSH-BSPGB (exp.unknown)
ZQQGS-FLRLM-XBPGB (exp.unknown)
RSZNG TJNPH DHPGB (exp. 7/31)

Rite Aid Deals

I made a run to Rite Aid yesterday! Hooray for me. The free shave gel and dish detergent lured me in!

I was too late in the week to get any of the FAR items and have a high enough total to use the $5/25, but I'm just proud that I actually stepped foot in Rite Aid this month. :)

Electrasol $4.49
Skintimate $2.99
-$2.50 Electrasol MFQ (SS 4/19)
-$0.75 Skintimate MFQ (SS 4/26)
=
$4.23 + tax
(And get back $4.24 SCR!)

Here are some embarrassing April totals so far.

Total spent April: $61.53
Total saved April: $63.70

I Have a Confession to Make...

As some of you may have noticed, I've been a little scarce at posting my deal runs lately. The reason for that is...drumroll please... I am pregnant! Yay! Hubby and I are very excited. On the downside, I've been fighting morning sickness for about 5 weeks now, but I think I'm on the upswing of it. At least my budget is hoping that I am.

Confession #1:
I logged into my drugstore rebate accounts to request checks for April and realized I didn't purchase a single rebate item at Walgreens for an entire month! And I only made one rebate purchase at Rite Aid! Holy smokes! I usually do my drugstore runs in the mornings before work, but what with the worshipping-the-porcelain-goddess every morning, I didn't feel much like drugstoring during April.

Confession #2:
My ability to cook dinner for hubby and myself has also been lacking lately. The sight of chicken (raw OR cooked) makes me dry heave. Yuck! So we've been eating convenience food that hubby can whip up, for over a month now. About 2 weeks ago we started getting low on all sorts of food, so I dragged myself to the nearest grocery store with my husband. In my pajama pants and a sweatshirt. And this is not the confession part yet, either. (Have I ever mentioned he's useless going to the grocery store by himself? Well, he is.)

Now for the confession part. We purchased hardly anything -- basically some bread, milk, fruits and frozen snacks -- and spent $43 dollars in a single grocery trip. The only coupon I used was for (wince) chips and queso! I'm so ashamed! (...not about the chips and queso...I think that's a preggo thing...I'm ashamed about the $43 dollars!)

We haven't spent $43 in a single grocery shoppping trip since the first year we were married. With the way I usually shop now, $43 dollars should have gotten me two carts full! Wow. So that trip prettymuch blew my entire April budget right there. Ugh.

And now that I feel so much better after my confessions, I can move onto mending my ways and making preparations for May's drugstore rebates and grocery budget. :)

So I think I'm getting back into the swing of things, and hopefully I will have lots more of my grocery and drugstore runs to post in the coming days and weeks!

Free Rachael Ray Grocery Tote w/Purchase

Do I seem to be posting a lot of grocery tote deals lately? I think I do. And I think it's because I've come to realize that as a deal-shopper, reusable totes are so great to have. Some weeks I make anywhere from 5 to 10 store trips, which means a lot of extra plastic bags lying around the house. I invested in some nice Target reusable bags (and have since picked up a few free ones here and there), and I love that every car in my household has them in the trunk, ready to be used at a moment's notice. My house no longer explodes with plastic bags and I'm sure Mother Earth thanks me. :)

Purchase any 1 of these Kraft items during the month of May, and you'll qualify to receive a free reusable Everyday with Rachael Ray grocery tote!

Mail a 3x5 card with your name and address, and your original cash register receipt with purchase price circled to:
