I've heard from a couple of people that they've had trouble at the Smith's mega promos, making sure they're actually buying 10 qualifying items in a transaction. (The cereal sizes & varieties are tricky this week.) If you accidentally buy 9 instead of 10, your $3 discount won't appear and your $3 catalina won't print. Ugh! Then you have to go to the service desk and get things fixed, which is a huge mess.
So here's a helpful tip for those of you who are planning to go. Use the self checkout line -- that way you can watch your items as they ring up. Items that qualify for the mega promos always have a [+] sign next to them on the checkout screen. Scan your items and watch those symbols. Once you've seen ten of those on the screen, you're good to go!
This holds true for all Smith's mega promos, so keep this in mind for next time!
