Slavetosave Baby Shower Bash Giveaway #30:
The One Potato Blue collection of infant and toddler clothing and accessories is a classic case of necessity being the mother of invention. As a new Utah mom, Katherine Hughes sought stylish, high quality, affordable baby clothes but was disappointed by the lack of options. So out of necessity - and as a way to stay sane while at home with baby Owen - Katherine decided to create her own simple and sweet collection of baby clothes and accessories. Combining the classic look of the wrap-style clothing from her own childhood with a modern design sensibility, One Potato Blue was born. The One Potato Blue {sweetly wrapped} collection was launched in the summer of 2008. The collection consists of a complete layette from newborn to toddler: kimono wrap-style shirts, rompers, and receiving blankets made with 100% pure, soft white cotton and detailed with bright, bold ric-rac trim that is as sweet as it is simple. With a luxurious feel that wears extraordinarily well, One Potato Blue delivers modern style and high quality at easy-to-love prices. To complete the “sweetly wrapped” package, Katherine decided to put her designer fabrics to another purposeful use: eco-friendly gift bags and tote bags that double as hip diaper bags. The sturdy, colorful gift bags – several of which are offered in organic cotton - are ideal for sustainable gift-giving and make wrapping a snap. They come in a variety of sizes to wrap styles from the One Potato Blue collection or can be purchased separately to wrap other gifts. This is a fun, socially and environmentally conscious way to give!Because giving is truly better than receiving, Katherine encourages friends and customers to reuse these gifts-outside-of-gifts for future gifting. And as part of the One Potato Blue mission, Katherine shares her own profits to support local and global causes that work to create a healthier and more peaceful planet.
Slavetosave's Review
One Potato Blue was kind enough to send me two long-sleeved sprout wrap shirts in an eco gift bag to review! The gift bag is adorable, and would be the perfect finishing touch to any gift. The shirts are unbelievably soft, and made from thick, high-quality cotton. The rick-rack trim is adorable and the shirts are very well-made. I am in love with these shirts! I washed them last week and put them in the baby's dresser so they're ready for her to wear. I can't wait for her to get here so she can try them out!
