Got2b Smooth Operator Review and Giveaway

As a member of Bzzagent, I get to try out fun new products from time to time. This month, I got to try out the new got2b Smooth Operator smoothing lustre lotion.

Here's a confession. I don't have many, but one of my splurges in life is the styling products I use on my hair. Shocker, right? I have really fine, thin hair, so I pay big bucks a few times a year for salon styling products to help me get the look I want. But gimme any old bottle of volumizing shampoo and I'll be happy with it.

So when I tried the got2b Smooth Operator lotion this morning, I was skeptical. I thought for sure it would weigh my hair down too much to be useful. Boy was I wrong! I was pleasantly surprised that it tamed the flyaways I usually have like crazy right after blowdrying. It also left my hair smooth and soft, but didn't weigh it down. You spray it into your hand and smooth it through your hair while it's wet, and then style as usual. It even has a pleasantly tropical smell that's not too overpowering. (I've switched shampoos twice in the last month due to smell/nausea issues...and trust me, this one is *pleasant.*) Plus, the little charm on the bottle is adorable, no?

Don't tell my husband, but this product might just start saving his pocketbook a whole lotta money! I'm going to keep using the Smooth Operator lotion because I liked it that much.

Rite Aid Deals

I made a run to Rite Aid yesterday! Hooray for me. The free shave gel and dish detergent lured me in!

I was too late in the week to get any of the FAR items and have a high enough total to use the $5/25, but I'm just proud that I actually stepped foot in Rite Aid this month. :)

I Have a Confession to Make...

As some of you may have noticed, I've been a little scarce at posting my deal runs lately. The reason for that is...drumroll please... I am pregnant! Yay! Hubby and I are very excited. On the downside, I've been fighting morning sickness for about 5 weeks now, but I think I'm on the upswing of it. At least my budget is hoping that I am.


Confession #1:
I logged into my drugstore rebate accounts to request checks for April and realized I didn't purchase a single rebate item at Walgreens for an entire month! And I only made one rebate purchase at Rite Aid! Holy smokes! I usually do my drugstore runs in the mornings before work, but what with the worshipping-the-porcelain-goddess every morning, I didn't feel much like drugstoring during April.

Confession #2:
My ability to cook dinner for hubby and myself has also been lacking lately. The sight of chicken (raw OR cooked) makes me dry heave. Yuck! So we've been eating convenience food that hubby can whip up, for over a month now. About 2 weeks ago we started getting low on all sorts of food, so I dragged myself to the nearest grocery store with my husband. In my pajama pants and a sweatshirt. And this is not the confession part yet, either. (Have I ever mentioned he's useless going to the grocery store by himself? Well, he is.)

Now for the confession part. We purchased hardly anything -- basically some bread, milk, fruits and frozen snacks -- and spent $43 dollars in a single grocery trip. The only coupon I used was for (wince) chips and queso! I'm so ashamed! (...not about the chips and queso...I think that's a preggo thing...I'm ashamed about the $43 dollars!)

We haven't spent $43 in a single grocery shoppping trip since the first year we were married. With the way I usually shop now, $43 dollars should have gotten me two carts full! Wow. So that trip prettymuch blew my entire April budget right there. Ugh.



And now that I feel so much better after my confessions, I can move onto mending my ways and making preparations for May's drugstore rebates and grocery budget. :)

So I think I'm getting back into the swing of things, and hopefully I will have lots more of my grocery and drugstore runs to post in the coming days and weeks!
