Where Have I Been Lately?

So I've had a few big changes in my life this summer, and you've probably noticed I've been posting a lot less. I haven't just fallen off of the face of the earth, I promise!

So where have I been?
First off, I've been doing a lot of this...

...because (drumroll, please), baby #2 is on the way! Yup, I'm pregnant! I didn't think it was possible to be more sick than I was last time, but somehow I managed it. I've finally made it through the yucky phase, and I'm starting to feel better and have more energy. So yay for that! I'm almost 17 weeks so far, and due in January. We'll find out the gender mid-September and I can't wait to see if The Bambina will have a little brother or a little sister!

The second big change in my life this summer has to do with my neighbors. I've mentioned before that we have quite a few people in my neighborhood with cancer, including an 8 month old baby boy and a 7 year old little girl named Samantha.

I signed up in May to help with a fundraiser for Samantha, and boy has it been a big job, but so so so worth it! The event is taking place this Saturday, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at W&M Butterfield Park in Herriman (6212 West 14200 South). There will be dinner, a bake sale, live and silent auctions, and Big Budah as the entertainment! I've been in charge of organizing the whole kids corner, and let me tell you -- it is going to be a blast! We'll have face painting, food, a bouncy slide, balloon animals, petting zoo, reptile show, carnival games and more.

{Look at that sweet face!}

So if you're in the valley and you're looking for something to do on Saturday, come visit us at the park and help Samantha fight this cancer. (Plus you can come say hi to me in the kids corner! I'll be the one coordinating the volunteers on the field.) And if you'd like a map, email me and I'll send you a copy.

So what's next?
After Saturday, life should hopefully be back to normal for the SlaveToSave household. Well, as normal as it can be with a toddler and a growing belly. So let me know what things you'd like to see happen here and we'll get right on it!

Congrats! I am due end of Dec with baby #2, also. My husband asked me when i was in my first trimester if i am still going to coupon, since i hadn't that whole time. Silly question. Of course! Good luck with the Fundraiser!
