Albertsons Changes Coming Soon

All 36 of the Albertson's stores in Utah have been sold to Associated Foods (the company that owns Harmons, Dan's, Macey's, etc). Beginning in the next few months, lots of changes will be happening. These stores will start carrying Western Family brand items, like other Associated Foods stores.

What does that mean for us as deal shoppers?

It's too soon to tell. The bottom line is that if the deals end, so will my shopping there. There are plenty of other places with deals to shop at, like Smith's, SuperTarget, SuperWalmart, etc.

It is my belief that Associated Foods will have to step up their game to keep up with the great sales and deals sponsored by larger grocery chains. Only time will tell, but of course I'll keep you informed of all the changes!

Albies Kraft Deal

I went to Albies last night to try my hand at the $25 worth of free groceries from Kraft promo. I had no trouble getting the $5 catalina or the rebate to print at checkout. I followed the specified list HERE and made sure everything I purchased was listed. Additionally, my Albertson's had plenty of everything in stock, which was fantastic.

Note: My albies had the shelf price of the wheat thins marked differently than the ad. I took it to the front and had them scan it to tell me the correct price. I was worried other things might be marked wrong as well (which they weren't), so I threw in an extra $0.49 Mac & Cheese box to make sure I would be well over the $25 mark. It would be a shame to fall short by a few pennies! Take a calculator with you to make sure you hit $25.

I went to Rite Aid yesterday because I'd heard Rite Aid is clearancing Pampers Easy-Ups in size 5 (girls and boys). The packaging must be getting discontinued or something. At any rate, it made for a good deal!

Kraft Promo @ Albies Update

For those of you planning on doing the Kraft promo at Albertson's this week, here are a few important tidbits of info.

• There are some products listed in the Albies ad as qualifying for the promo that are NOT listed by Kraft HERE. To qualify for the $20 rebate, you must only buy items and sizes listed as qualifying by Kraft.

• Some people have had issues with the rebate form not printing at checkout. If you buy only items listed as qualifying by Kraft, your rebate form should print just fine.
