Albertsons Changes Coming Soon

All 36 of the Albertson's stores in Utah have been sold to Associated Foods (the company that owns Harmons, Dan's, Macey's, etc). Beginning in the next few months, lots of changes will be happening. These stores will start carrying Western Family brand items, like other Associated Foods stores.

What does that mean for us as deal shoppers?

It's too soon to tell. The bottom line is that if the deals end, so will my shopping there. There are plenty of other places with deals to shop at, like Smith's, SuperTarget, SuperWalmart, etc.

It is my belief that Associated Foods will have to step up their game to keep up with the great sales and deals sponsored by larger grocery chains. Only time will tell, but of course I'll keep you informed of all the changes!
