Monday Drugstore Deals - Cheap Huggies!

Like I mentioned in my weekly Rite Aid Deal post, I've purchased one pack of Huggies in the last few months, as shown HERE. To fulfill SCR #800 (Buy 5 packs of Huggies, get a voucher for a free pack) I needed to buy 4 more packs by the end of July. I did so this week by doing this transaction twice:

$11.49 Huggies Pure & Natural
$11.49 Huggies Pure & Natural
$2.49 Kleenex 184 ct
-$5/25 Rite Aid Coupon
-$3 Huggies MFQ (printable in June)
-$3 Huggies MFQ (printable in June)
= $14.47 + tax

(As you can see from the picture, I accidentally bought a 110ct Kleenex in one transaction that doesn't qualify for the Kimberly Clark $25 GC rebate, so I've returned it and rebought the proper one.)

I spent $28.94 + tax and will get back a $25 GC from SCR #61 (Buy $50 Kimberly Clark, get $25 GC), as well as a voucher for a free pack of Huggies! That comes out to about $0.98/pack this week plus the free voucher. Not too bad!

All You Magazine is sponsoring a 4-week long Grocery Challenge beginning the week of July 13th. The rules are:

  • Spend no more than $25 per family member per week ($100/week for family of 4)
  • Food you grow, barter for, or already have in your stockpile does not count towards your total
  • Household supplies and toiletries do not count towards your total
  • If you eat out, that counts towards your food budget!
  • Keep track of your spendings, including your receipts

By participating, you have a chance to win a $1000 grocery card, a year supply of Knorr's side dishes, and a chance to appear in All You Magazine!

Don't forget to sign up before July 12th. Sounds like a fun challenge! Who's with me?

By The Way...

I couldn't be more shocked! I totally thought it was going to be a boy, but hubby and I are so excited and relieved she looks healthy and well!

Albertson's finds

I went to Albies on Saturday to pick up some South Beach Diet granola bars that were on sale for $2.49 each and save $5 when you buy 10. I had some $2 printable coupons (printed in January or February) that expire 6/30/09, so this sale was perfect timing!

5 South Beach Protein Bars @ $2.49
5 South Beach Fiber Fit Bars @ $2.49
1 Stewed Tomatoes $1.59
-$2 printable MFQ x 10
-$5 instant savings
= $1.49 + tax

Total savings: $39.40.

I had to throw in the can of stewed tomatoes (which I needed anyway) because otherwise my total would have been negative. Yay for free granola bars! I've never tried the Smores Fiber Fit bars before but let me tell you...MMMmmm!

Rite Aid Deals 6/28 - 7/4

The bad news is that it's sort of a slow week at Rite Aid, but the good news is there's a new $5/25 coupon that expires 7/31!

It's also a brand new month, with brand new SCR catalog!

$2.49 (ish?) Wet Ones wipes, 40 ct cylinder or 24 ct singles
-$1 SCR
-$1 MFQ HERE
= $0.49

$1.99 Secret Deodorant x 2
-$1 MFQ (P&G 5/17) x 2
-$1 SCR wyb 2
= $0.98/2

$1.00 Rite Aid Toothbrushes
-$1 RAQ HERE (click download)
= FREE

This is a good SCR of note in the next few weeks - SCR #160 Johnson & Johnson products, buy $25 get $10 GC. Buy $50 get $25 GC. Here's the best way to do it this week with Stayfree (BOGO this week) in two transactions:

Do this twice:
$27.93 Stayfree (14-24 ct) x 14
-$5/25 RAQ
-$2.00/2 MFQ (RP 4/26) x 7
= $8.93

You will end up paying $17.86 OOP and get back a $25 GC! $7.14 profit!

If you are wanting to maximize SCR #800 (buy 5 Huggies, get a voucher for a free pack), this would be a good week to do it. Remember, this SCR goes from April to the end of July, so check your accounts to see how many Huggies packs you've already bought so far (I've already bought 1, so I need 4 more packs this week).

Do this transaction twice:
$11.49 Huggies jumbo pack
$11.49 Huggies jumbo pack
$2.50 (ish) Kleenex box
-$5/25 RAQ
-$2 Huggies MFQ
-$2 Huggies MFQ
= $14.48 + tax

You will end up paying $32.96 OOP, get back a $25 GC (SCR #61 - buy $50 Huggies get $25 GC), a $3 Caregiver's Rebate, as well as a free Huggies Voucher (SCR #800). Ends up being $4.96 + tax OOP!
