Cony began her "Blankets for Babies" project after viewing a documentary on Honduran newborns that were sent home from the hospital wrapped in newspaper, after the country had been devastated by severe flooding. She also learned of similar conditions existing in Guatemala, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador as well as other countries.

Ammee's Babies mission is to make the world a better and softer place for under-privileged children. A portion of every purchase is donated to underpriviledged babies.

I've been edge-crocheting baby blankets for many years, and it's such a long process to find the fabric, cut it to size, take it to someone to hemstitch, and then crochet. Ammee's Babies does all the hard work for you! All I had to do was open my kit and start crocheting - no prepwork needed!

The fabric was gorgeous and the blanket turned out beautifully. It only took me a few hours to finish my blanket and burp cloth. I can't wait to wrap my little one in this special blanket made just for her by her mama!
