DownEast Basics, a Utah-based company, was started in April of 2005. Products were initially sold in DownEast Outfitters stores, but the owners soon realized the huge appeal and began expanding that same year – first in mall kiosks and soon thereafter opening the very first DownEast Basics retail store in the Provo Town Center mall.

Since the inception of the line, DownEast's top priorities have been to provide stylish, high-quality clothing at very affordable prices – a mission they remain true to today. They currently offer skirts, dresses, fashion tops, swimsuits, handbags, jewelry, scarves, jeans (this fall), and more. They are constantly diversifying the line and have recently added girls and men’s items!

DownEast sent me the Essential Scarf and the Double Strand Pearls to review! (Let's face it, my pregnant self wouldn't quite fit into the skirt or the cardigan right now!) But for all you other preggo's out there, DownEast does carry an adorable maternity line.

I have absolutely fallen in love with the pearls! I get comments about them every time I wear them, and I love how they dress up my outfits! The Essential Scarf has been fantastic for the fall weather we've had recently. It's super soft and a perfect length. All the pieces I own from DownEast are high-quality, and I love their reasonable prices! They make finding modest clothing so easy!
