It was the summer of 2007 and Sarah Morris, in an effort to lose a few pounds, was counting calories. Like most diets this involved measuring, measuring, and more measuring. And then there was washing all the measuring cups before they could be used the next day. After premeasuring yet another bowl of cereal one morning Sarah asked herself, "Why can't dishes be marked like measuring cups? But without looking like measuring cups?"

She immediately started designing dishes that would do just that. A year later she filed a patent. In 2009, with the help of friends and family, Sarah started her own online store, Thinnerware.com. She hand-paints all the dishes herself in her little studio in Lehi, UT!

Thinnerware sent me a complete dish set in blue to try out. I love that the dishes are lead-free, and the handpainted designs are whimsical and unique! I've really enjoyed using Thinnerware's dishes to help me keep track of my nutritional servings while I'm pregnant. It makes it so easy for me to eat healthy -- there's almost no excuse! These dishes will really come in hand after the baby comes as well, when I start trying to lose the baby weight.
